Meet
Team Vanash A division 1 innovative dream team if there
ever was one. Our talent, credentials and joie de vivre impress even us. We’re
extremely serious about the product—we want the whole world
to Vanash. But we wouldn’t be working this hard if we weren’t
having fun, too. We think of ourselves as a “collegium,” a
group whose members pursue shared goals while working within a
framework of
mutual trust and respect. In other words, we all enjoy working
together in a mostly non-hierarchical way. We’re open to
each other’s ideas, and nobody fits neatly into a job description. Taking
Shakespeare totally out of context, we’re “companions
that do converse and waste the time together.” But we do
excellent work. A few team highlights, in random order:

M.L. Carr is a former player and
coach of the championship Boston Celtics. He’s founded
several successful companies and charitable organizations,
including Warm2Kids, a group that provides technology centers
and programming to youth and families. |

Sean Tuohy is a former Ole Miss basketball star, extremely successful entrepreneur, and the real-life father portrayed in the Academy Award® winning movie "The Blind Side." Today, in addition to presiding over a fast food empire, he provides color commentary for the Memphis Grizzlies on TV and radio. |

Ike Colbert, a graduate of Johns
Hopkins with a Ph.D. from Brown, was the first African-American
Dean for Graduate Students at MIT, former President of the
AAU Association of Graduate School Deans and President of the
Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) Board. |

Valentin Sahleanu is a Romanian-born
award-wining designer and illustrator. He holds a Masters degree
in Architecture and (sometimes) his friends hostage to his
sometimes peculiar sense of humor. |

Jesse Mastro is a cutting-edge
internet marketing consultant and entrepreneur, as well as
an avid surfer and snowboarder. He graduated from Northeastern
University with a degree in Finance. |

Ron Blau is an award-winning writer
and producer. A Harvard graduate, he has countless projects
for broadcast, cable, websites and other distribution channels
under his belt, as well as a film chosen for the collection
of the Museum of Modern Art. |

Steve Tannenbaum, Ph.D., is a Professor
of Toxicology and Chemistry at MIT. He has won many honors
and awards, including election to the Institute of Medicine
of the National Academy of Sciences, one of the highest honors
in the field of health and medicine. |

Patrea Pabst is an attorney who
practices in the area of intellectual property. Her specialty
is patent issues relating to biotechnology, medical, pharmaceutical
and chemical technology. |

Jay Goldstein, M.D., is a prominent
dermatologist who helped in the development of Accutane, the
revolutionary acne treatment. He’s also a fantastic drummer,
playing in the Greater Boston area with his Rock band, Brogue. |

Whe Yong Lo, Ph.D. is an extraordinary
pharmaceutical scientist with over twenty years experience
in pharmaceutical product development, as well as expertise
in formulation, analytical and regulatory affairs. |

Liz Walker is an award-winning
journalist and documentary producer, an ordained minister and
humanitarian focused on girls' education in Sudan, and a graduate

Harris Gibson, M.D., is Chief of
Thoracic Surgery at a major Boston-area hospital. A graduate
of Meharry Medical College, Harris is extremely well connected
to leaders in African-American medical education. |

Michael Terapane, who has a Ph.D.
in organic chemistry, is a patent attorney specializing in
polymer, chemical and pharmaceutical
technologies. |

Andrea Carr is Director of Marketing
and Public Relations for WARM2Kids, a group that provides technology
centers and programming to youth and families. A University
of Pennsylvania graduate, Andrea’s degree in Psychology
gives her an edge in understanding not only kids, but marketing. |

Mike Rothman is an M.D., a former
faculty member of Harvard Medical School, a world-class leader
in pharmaceutical testing and winner of the MIT Innovation
Center Award. |

Christa Jones is Director of Development
at Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall School and former Assistant Director
of Annual Giving at Brandeis University. If Nobel Prizes were
given out in networking, Christa would be awarded one. |

Dana Palko has over 14 years
of branding and marketing experience in all aspects of graphic
design services. From print to
interactive media, she has assisted clients in execution of
the essence of an organization’s brand while wrapping
the appropriate messages and emotions that their target audience
will identify with. |
